How do we order our ketubah?
Once you have selected the design you want, click on your shopping cart to find the checkout link. Your shopping cart is in the top menu at all times. Don’t worry about specifying the text yet! You can make a note in the “note to seller section” or you can email us at a later time to let us know which text you would like to use. Once you have selected your text we will be in touch via email and you will be provided with a link to a form to fill out with your personal details. When placing your order pay special attention to make sure your billing address and zip code match what you have on file with your credit card, and double check the three digit CVV code on the back of your card.
Can you send us a sample ketubah?
We cannot send you a blank ketubah before you order. However we will be happy to send you a small version of it on letter size paper. There is a nominal fee to receive a sample. Please send us a message if you would like to see a sample and we will set up a reserved listing for you. Make sure there is plenty of time before your wedding if you’re ordering a sample.
Is 18×24 inches the smallest size you offer?
This is the most commonly requested size. It is a standard dimension that is easy to frame and is large enough to be impressive without looking too big. However, if this is too large, it is possible to order a smaller ketubah. Please contact us to inquire on how to order a smaller size than the standard dimensions and we will be happy to set up a reserved listing for you.
Can we send you a different text than the options you provide?
As long as you are the author of the text or if you have secured usage rights from the copyright holder of the text, then this is not a problem. There is no additional fee if you send in a text of your own.
Will we see a proof before you ship our ketubah?
You will always receive a proof that you will have to approve before your ketubah is complete and shipped.
Do you offer framing?
Ordering a ketubah framed is a possibility. You can send us a message to inquire about prices for your ketubah delivered to you pre-framed. However, this is not ideal, since it will be behind plexiglass, you will have to take the frame apart in order to sign it. It is a much better idea to put your ketubah in a frame after the wedding.
Can I expect the colors to be identical to what I see on screen?
Rest assured that the images on screen do give you a good idea of the actual colors in much the same way that a photo on your phone gives you an idea of what it will look like printed at a photo lab. However, it is important to note that your screen cannot display 100% accurate colors unless it is professionally calibrated under controlled lighting conditions using a colorimeter or spectrophotometer. In all other cases, colors will differ from screen to screen. You can try it out by looking at photos on different devices, such as an iPhone, an Android phone, and a laptop. The colors will be slightly different on each screen when held side by side.
How will you ship our ketubah?
Your ketubah will arrive in a shipping tube via USPS. Shipping typically takes one week, but is subject to any eventualities related to the USPS, such as national holidays, worker strikes, or unforeseen calamities. You will receive a tracking number so that you will know the status of your shipment at all times.
What do you do if we find a mistake in the text?
If there is a mistake in your text that was not in your approved proof, we will send you a corrected replacement at no cost to you. If the error was present in the proof you approved you can still get a replacement, but there will be a nominal replacement fee.
Do you offer refunds?

Why was I charged a “foreign transaction fee”?
Since we are located in Israel your credit card might charge you a foreign transaction fee. Most credit cards do not charge this fee, thus most of our clients will not see this fee. If they do it is usually in the 1% – 2% range. It is important to stress that we do not collect this fee. It is entirely between you and your bank or credit card and subject to your contract with them. If you are unsure, call your credit card company. We do not offer refunds for these fees since we are not associated with them in any way — only your bank or credit card can reimburse you this fee.
Why is checkout in Shekels?
We are based in Israel so our base currency is in shekels. Don’t be alarmed when you see the price during checkout in shekels. Even though the prices are shown in dollars in the shop section, what you are actually seeing is the price converted from shekels according to the day’s rates. The prices will fluctuate from day to day according to the exchange rate as well. This is normal. Note that even though we are based in Israel, your ketubah will be shipping from California, so you do not have to worry about transit times.
Is the text handwritten?
The text is not handwritten. All the ketubot on Ketubah by Oren are prints. This ensures that they remain affordable. If you would like to have your ketubah handwritten by a calligrapher you can ask to have the print provided with a blank space instead of text. You can then have your calligrapher write in the text separately. Simply put this in the instructions during checkout and provide your calligrapher’s shipping address.
Will our ketubah be personalized?
Your ketubah will be personalized. We do not charge a fee for this. You can either have your rabbi fill in the required text or you can let us fill it in for you. Either way your ketubah will come with all your personal information already filled in.
Can you translate our English text into Hebrew?
Yes, we can translate your text for you! Note that there is a nominal fee for translations. Send us a message to ask how to go about having your text translated.
When should we order our ketubah?
Don’t wait. Even with our fast turnarounds it can still take several weeks to receive your ketubah. Leaving it to the last minute is never a good idea. It is much better to have your ketubah in a corner for a couple of months before the wedding than it is to bite your nails, waiting for it to arrive at the last minute.
We waited until the last minute…can we still order?
Yes. Send us a message to see how we can accommodate you. It might be possible to upgrade your shipping to FedEx with 3 business day delivery. Other options might be to provide a digital file that you can print at a local print shop. There are options available. All you have to do is ask.
Can I customize the design?
At this time we cannot do customizations and we are not accepting bespoke orders. You can feel free to ask, however, as in the future we may start offering custom ordering options. You will find that many of our designs are available as actual papercuts as well.
